Louisiana & Delta
Shortly after returning from Saudi in September 1986 I accepted the position of General Manager of the new shortline - Louisiana & Delta. GWI was acquiring some of SP's branch lines in Louisiana and I was responsible for staffing, equipment acquisition, training and starting up LDRR. I managed LDRR successfully for 14 years at which time I left and became General Manager of the Arizona Eastern in Globe, AZ.

Heritage of 1751 > SP GP9 5669, s/n 21362m frame 5436-44m 4/1956 > SP 3502 > rebuilt to GP9e 3434, 5/1976 > to LDRR 3/1987 > LD 1751, named Le Bonne Terre, renamed Evangeline > to WPRR as 1802 Lake Oswego in late 1993.
